The examples used will mostly be from ecology and conservation biology. The course will consist of on-line lectures, discussions, and one-to-one consultation until the review is published.
Major topics: Why write reviews? Types of review; reviews vs. perspectives; Choosing a topic; Choosing a journal; Writing a proposal and getting invited; Searching the literature; Screening for relevance and quality; Extracting information; Writing the review.
Instructor: Professor Richard Corlett, Centre for Integrative Conservation of XTBG.
Student number: The first half day will be open to anyone. Participants can then decide if you want to continue or not, but as Professor Corlett can supervise a maximum of 12 final reviews, we may need to do selection based on your review proposal written after the first session.
